Bill Emmott in conversation with Morgan Fiumi

We live in complex and uncertain times:  wars in Eastern Europe and the Middle East, rising tensions between China and the US, climate change, the digital revolution, polarised identity politics and migration - the list seems endless.  Former Editor in Chief of The Economist, Bill Emmott will discuss some of these themes with Morgan Fiumi,  and look at how they fit together in a shifting geo-strategic balance in the world.  What happens next is completely uncertain, so what can we do to prepare for and mitigate the risks?

Bill Emmott is an award winning journalist, author and filmmaker, covering international current affairs in Europe and East Asia.  He has written 14 books, including Good Italy, Bad Italy (2012), and most recently Deterence, Diplomacy and the Risk of Conflict over Taiwan (2024).  he was Editor in Chief of The Economist for 13 years to 2006 and is currently the Chair of  the International Institute for Strategic Studies.
