Inside Florence - Palazzi and Botteghe by Livia Frescobaldi

Bottega d’arte Masell

Livia  Frescobaldi is Florentine through ancestry, birth and choice.  A serious student of the decorative arts , she has worked to promote and preserve the fine tradition of Ginori ceramics and has published three books related to that.

Her newly published book Inside Florence - Palazzi and Botteghe is lavishly illustrated by the photography of Alessandro Moggi and Eugenia Maffei. It offers an original account of Florence stemming from a love of its special places, alternating visits to the beautiful  homes of her friends and family  with a fresh look at the city's artisan workshops - whose beautiful artifacts adorn those homes.

Livia Frescobaldi will discuss with Simon Gammell her life and times, and the making of this beautiful book.
