Jazz al British - Il Circo by Giovanni Vannoni
Imagine stepping inside a circus tent. As you make your way to your seat, the lights dim, and silence fills the space. Suddenly, a dancer in a white dress steps into a spotlight, marking the start of the performance. Then comes the mime—a mischievous character who entertains by mimicking audience members in the front row. The show unfolds as one performer after another takes the stage, each with their own act, each with their own music. The fire-eater is the final act; after a dramatic burst of flames, the scene fades into darkness once more. Out of the silence, a final piece emerges, like a gentle farewell. The lights return—it’s time to leave

Born in Greve in Chianti in 1992, Giovanni Vannoni is a pianist and composer. Following studies in both jazz piano and composition, he has become a regular round the new music scene in Italy and across Europe. Vannoni’s compositions blend traditional written forms with moments of improvisation, work that fluidly bridges classical composition and jazz.
