Putting a Legacy into your Will

If you choose to put a Legacy Gift to the Institute into your Will, the most important information to include is our name, address and registered charity number. That way, you can be sure your gift gets to the right place.

We recommend that you consult a trusted solicitor, but you may consider using this wording:

“I give to THE BRITISH INSTITUTE OF FLORENCE, of Palazzo Lanfredini, Lungarno Guicciardini 9, 50125 Firenze, Italy , Registered charity number 216032 (England & Wales), [______% of my estate] or [the sum of £___________ ], to be used for general charitable purposes absolutely,  and I declare that the receipt of the Treasurer or duly authorised officer shall be a full and sufficient discharge.”
