Sometimes it took a man to make a woman famous. This session examines the lives of three women who were known for their status as the lover of a powerful man even though they were exceedingly accomplished themselves: the poet Gaspara Stampa, Grand Duchess Bianca Cappello, and intellectual muse Cecilia Gallerani.
