The Alan Pascuzzi Art Studio
Renaissance Techniques Workshops

Explore the traditional drawing, painting and sculpting techniques of the Renaissance masters in Florence.
Dr. Alan Pascuzzi is an art historian and professional artist who has researched 14th and 15th century art treatises like Cennino Cennini's Craftsman's Handbook and Vasari's On Technique and works exclusively with traditional materials and techniques.
He is now offering 'master-class' individual workshops in the techniques of the Renaissance mastes such as silverpoint, pen and ink, natural sanguigna, fresco painting, egg tempera painting, modelling in clay and marble carving.
Advanced workshops also include drapery drawing from the mannequin, portrait drawing, medallion making and modelling the clothed figure.
Workshops can be organized for individuals or small groups. All workshops can be adapted for beginners, intermediate or advanced artists wishing to explore Renaissance techniques.
Among the most popular courses offered by Alan are the fresco workshop, the egg tempera workshop and the renaissance portrait course.
