The Tastemaker
Tuesday 25th January 2025 at 18:00
Who were the ‘influencers’ of the Renaissance? Women all over Italy looked to well-known noblewomen who were making waves and dictating style with their innovations in fashion and in their customs and behaviors. Three duchesses are featured in this session: Beatrice d’Este (called a ‘novarum vestium inventrix’—an inventor of new clothing); muse and perfect all-around wife, Elisabetta Gonzaga; and Florence’s own Eleonora di Toledo, whose every move was used as inspiration.
In person: €45 per session / €240 for full course
On Zoom: €35 per session / €180 for full course
